Kamala Harris, the US vice-president, has spoken out in support of digital assets, and Hayden Adams, chief executive of Uniswap Labs, took to social media to express his support as a positive sign. "Kamala just said that she will encourage innovative technologies such as digital assets. I believe this is the first time she has publicly mentioned cryptocurrencies in a positive way." Industry insiders are sceptical, pointing out that the Biden administration's policy towards cryptocurrencies over the past four years has not been friendly. In response, Adams said: "Agree that Biden has done badly with cryptocurrencies and the tech industry. Harris is suggesting that her administration will handle it differently and be more pro-innovation."
