The fraudulent app named Curve Defi v3 is among the top 100 financial apps in the Apple Store
The fake Curve Finance app has hacked into the Apple App Store, and despite warnings from the community, it remains wildly popular and ranked among the top 100 financial apps in the Apple Store on October 26. The fraudulent app, called "Curve defi v3", was developed by "Tao Duong Van" and misleads users by mimicking the Curve Finance logo and features of the legitimate Curve platform. The app claims to offer features such as token exchange, liquidity staking, and DeFi services, but all reviewers rated it one out of five stars, noting "scam" or "hack" in the written comments.
The fraudulent app used an image that claimed it had more than "30 million global users" in an attempt to establish false credibility and convince victims to download and use it.
