The well-known CryptoPunk NFT suffered a loss of nearly 10 million dollars and sold off, the largest transaction in nearly 30 days
According to Lookonchain data, a major cryptocurrency investor sold a CryptoPunk NFT for 4,000 ETH (~ $6 million). The investor bought the NFT for 4,500 ETH (~ $15.70 million) a year ago. Since the price of ETH at the time of purchase was $3,509, and the ETH had fallen by 57% at the time of sale, the actual loss was $9.73 million.
According to CryptoSlam data, despite the significant losses, the transaction still ranks among the largest NFT transactions in the past 30 days. Currently, CryptoPunks' floor price is around 43 ETH (about $68,000), down more than 61% from its all-time high of 113.9 ETH in October 2021. The transaction reflects the continued downturn in the once-hot blue-chip NFT market, with NFT trading volume on Ethereum falling by more than 53% in the past month.
