OpenAI hires former Uber executive Scott Skus as chief compliance officer
OpenAI has hired Scott Schools, a former Uber executive, as its first chief compliance officer to support the start-up's efforts to adapt to emerging global regulations around artificial intelligence. Mr. Scuse, who most recently served as chief ethics and compliance officer for Uber, previously served as deputy attorney general for the Department of Justice. The hiring comes as regulators on both sides of the Atlantic weigh policy around OpenAI and other companies' state-of-the-art artificial intelligence models.
