Galaxy: Blockchain startups raised $2.40 billion in Q3, down 20% sequentially
Data from Galaxy Research shows that in the third quarter of 2024, venture funding for blockchain startups was $2.40 billion, a 20% decrease compared to the previous quarter.
Between July and September this year, crypto startups completed 478 deals, a 17% decrease from the second quarter. Despite the slowdown in growth, the level of investment this year is still expected to reach or slightly exceed 2023, with startups in the sector receiving $8 billion in investment to date.
According to the Galaxy report, funding for startups combining artificial intelligence and blockchain technology has increased fivefold in the past three months. Key players include Sentient, CeTi and Sahara AI, raising a total of $188 million.
