China Asset Management and Franklin Templeton have announced a partnership with OSL, a licensed cryptocurrency trading platform in Hong Kong, to tokenize money market funds. It is reported that the money market fund tokenization project with China Asset Management will be denominated in Hong Kong dollars, hoping to allow retail investors to buy and sell in the future; while the project with Franklin Templeton will be denominated in US dollars, which is expected to reduce the time and cost by 90%. The current project is still in the sandbox concept, and the specific launch still depends on the timetable of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
