Nigerian cryptocurrency advocates file suit to overturn cryptocurrency ban
Nigerian cryptocurrency advocate James Utudor has filed a lawsuit challenging the Nigerian government's restrictions on owning, using, and trading digital assets such as bitcoin and stablecoins. Utudor claims that the lawsuit, which names the Nigerian president, finance minister, and attorney general as defendants, aims to protect the fundamental rights of Nigerians, and that cryptocurrency restrictions make it impossible for Nigerian residents to use it as a hedge against inflation.
