Canto: Building and testing v8.1.0 upgrade, user funds are safe
On August 13th, Canto posted on X that the validator suspended the network after upgrading to the V8 version due to unforeseen secondary effects caused by the Proposer priority issue. Bharvest is building and testing a state-compatible v8.1.0 upgrade, which will automatically handle the issue of setting the Proposer priority correctly. At that time (expected to take 15 hours), the validator will be able to continue generating blocks on the upgraded and patched V8Canto. All funds are safe. Once the chain is restored, users will be able to access all activities as usual.
Yesterday, Canto posted on X that the Canto chain is currently experiencing a consensus problem, so it is suspended. To solve this problem, Canto plans to carry out a system upgrade at 20:00 on August 12. The official added that all funds are safe. Once the chain resumes operation, users will be able to access all activities as usual.
