ConsenSys hires former Disney executive Dan Odell as chief financial officer
On August 14, according to the official blog, blockchain software technology company ConsenSys announced the appointment of Dan Odell as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In the new position, Odell will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, taxation, treasury, strategic finance, and investor relations.
According to reports, Odell joined Consensys after successfully guiding Improbable, a meta-universe technology company, to achieve a strategic business model transformation, significantly increase the company's revenue, and improve its capital position. Prior to joining Improbable, Odell spent more than 15 years with The Walt Disney Company in a variety of roles, including Vice President of Global Product Management for Disneyland, Experiences, and Products, Chief Financial Officer of Maker Studios, Chief Financial Officer of Mobile Games, and Director of Global Financial Planning for Disney Consumer Products.
