Circle CEO: Doubts Trump's decision to use bitcoin as a reserve currency
In an interview with CNBC, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said that cryptocurrencies are already a "purple" issue, or a bipartisan concern, but more needs to be done to solidify this position, otherwise the United States will miss an opportunity to lead in this field.
Jeremy Allaire said that Trump himself may not have an in-depth understanding of crypto issues, but the people and advisers around him have considerable insight into the relevant issues. Furthermore, while the crypto community speculates that Trump may support some bold moves, such as making bitcoin the US national reserve currency, Jeremy Allaire appears to be skeptical about the possibility of Trump committing to these ideas.
