Seeking new sources of revenue growth, Apple is pushing ahead with the development of an expensive desktop home device that incorporates an iPad-like display and features robotic limbs. The development of the device is being led by Kevin Lynch, the former head of the automotive business (Apple Car). Apple hopes to launch a desktop robot device as early as 2026 or 2027.
