Senator Schumer has pledged to pass crypto legislation by the end of the year
Speaking at the Crypto4Harris conference on Wednesday, US Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, Democrat of New York, pledged to pass crypto legislation by the end of the year. In a livestream of the conference, Mr. Schumer said that without action, "there is a risk that cryptocurrencies will flow overseas, into countries where there is no minimum standard of regulation".
The theme of the event was to "reset" the dialogue with Vice President Kamala Harris and the future Harris administration - and to emphasize that the crypto space does not belong to any party.
