Bank of America: Market pricing has cut interest rates four times this year, and I don't think Powell will go against market pricing
Federal Reserve Chairperson Jerome Powell is scheduled to speak on the economic outlook at 10:00 PM Beijing time next Friday, and Bank of America forecasts that Powell's speech at the Jackson Hole conference is unlikely to have much impact on the dollar.
Analysts at the bank pointed out that funds remain optimistic about a stronger dollar, which could pose downside risks. Bank of America said that the market has priced in four rate cuts this year, and we don't think Powell will go against the market price. He will keep the option of aggressive easing, depending on the data ahead of the September meeting.
