Bitfinex Alpha: Ethereum ETF struggling, bitcoin ETH performance resilience is expected to be bullish in Q4
Bitfinex released a report saying that Ethereum ETFs continue to struggle compared to Bitcoin ETFs, with large outflows resulting in Ethereum's poor performance relative to Bitcoin. While there are some positive inflows into emerging Ethereum ETFs like BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust, established products such as grey release's Ethereum Trust (ETHE) are facing large outflows, a situation exacerbated by aggressive selling by major market makers such as Jump Trading. This has resulted in a 40% drop in Ethereum prices through early August, with the ETH/BTC ratio falling to its lowest level in over 1,200 days.
In contrast, Bitcoin ETFs have shown resilience, with continued inflows and more stable price performance. Confidence in Bitcoin remains strong despite challenges such as oversupply. Bitcoin is still on track to follow the previous halving year trajectory, and we expect the fourth quarter to be very bullish. Based on historical data, either the lows of Q3 have been reached, or we have one last round of decline to find Bitcoin's bottom.
