SkyBridge Founder: Cryptocurrency Voters Could Lose Harris in US Election
Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, has said that U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris could lose the U.S. election by failing to attract voters who support cryptocurrencies.
"Let's say only 25 million people in the US own cryptocurrency, but let's say 5 per cent of them are single-issue voters... If they were in a swing state in the US, she would lose the election," Scaramucci said.
Scaramucci, who served as White House communications director in the Trump administration, admitted that the US Democratic Party's approach to the cryptocurrency industry has been "a disaster". While the majority of the cryptocurrency community appears to support Donald Trump because of his pro-crypto campaign stance, Scaramucci believes he is not an ideal candidate for cryptocurrency.
"He's the most transactional person you'll ever meet. Today he supports cryptocurrency; tomorrow he may or may not support cryptocurrency," Scaramucci said.
