New York Fed survey: Record share of U.S. respondents expecting to lose their jobs in the next four months
The New York Federal Reserve's survey of consumer expectations shows that the proportion of respondents who believe they are likely to lose their jobs in the next four months has hit a record high since the survey was launched in 2014. The proportion of respondents who expect to receive job offers in the next few months has also increased compared with a year ago. Overall, the New York Fed survey shows that labor market attrition rates are rising, workers are increasingly dissatisfied with their wages and benefits, and maintain high levels of compensation expectations.
