Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission warns the public to beware of "ICE Global Professional Station" impersonating another institution and suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud
Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission today warned the public about a suspicious link that allows investors to access the "ICE Global Professional Station" mobile app. ICE Global Professional Station claims to be a digital asset trading platform and is suspected of using a similar name and logo to impersonate Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., a multinational financial services institution. ICE Global Professional Station is suspected of engaging in virtual asset-related fraud. An investor reported difficulty withdrawing funds after depositing funds to invest in cryptocurrency products. The Hong Kong Securities Supervision Commission has added links to the ICE Global Professional Station mobile app to the Suspicious Virtual Asset Trading Platform Alert List on August 21, 2024.
