Bitcoin's computing power is approaching its peak, and mining difficulty may hit a new high
According to Luxor's hashrateindex.com data, Bitcoin hashrate is currently hovering at 660EH/s, just 17EH/s below the peak of 677EH/s recorded on July 25, 2024. Despite a recent 4.19% reduction in mining difficulty, the analysis said, the current forecast suggests that the difficulty reduction may be history.
On August 28, Bitcoin mining difficulty is expected to increase by 4% or more, which could push it to an all-time high of 90.67T. (Bitcoin.com)
