Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida: Web3 and blockchain technology are the foundation for solving social problems
On August 28, Japan's largest cryptocurrency-themed event, the WebX conference, opened in Tokyo, Japan. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida addressed the conference via video.
At the meeting, Kishida referred to his "new capitalism" (new capitalism) policy, and again emphasized that solving social problems can be used as an engine of economic growth. In this context, Kishida said: "Web3 and blockchain technology are the foundation for solving social problems."
In addition, Kishida also mentioned that the government has embarked on specific measures including tax reform and legal amendments to help Web3 startups more smoothly raise proceeds.
Kishida finally said that in the "core policy of 2024" (Kutai Fang 2024), while paying attention to user protection, we will start to promote the "flexible use of Web3 tokens", "accelerated payment", and "promote the active level of the content industry".
