Mantle's statement on the unlocking of ByBit and FTX swap platforms: BIT held by Alameda has been restricted from migrating to MNT
Igneus Terrenus, the head of public relations at Mantle, responded to the ByBit and FTX swap platform coin unlocking on his social platform. He said that Bybit has never had CEX tokens. BIT is the governance token of BitDAO. BIT held by Alameda is restricted from being migrated to MNT. Both parties are currently going through legal procedures.
Previously, according to Ember monitoring, ByBit and FTX exchanged platform coins in early November 2021: ByBit exchanged 100 million BIT for FTX 3.36 million FTT, and the two sides promised not to sell it within 3 years. Now there are 2 months to turn 3 years, and it is likely to sell after the end of the restriction. At that time, it was an equivalent exchange, and now the price difference exceeds 53 million dollars: 100 million BIT is worth 57.73 million dollars; 3.36 million FTT is worth only 4.47 million dollars. BitDAO (BIT) has now been upgraded to Mantle (MNT).
