Google AI model Gemini introduces artificial intelligence assistant Gems and image generation machine Imagen 3
On August 29, Google said on Wednesday that in order to challenge OpenAI's dominance in the artificial intelligence market, the company has made the first major update to its flagship artificial intelligence model Gemini, releasing customizable "Gems".
Gemini will also integrate directly into the company's artificial intelligence image generation machine, Imagen 3. However, it still cannot generate human images, and a previous version produced problematic images and forced Google to take the tool offline.
Similar to the GPT capabilities of OpenAI's ChatGPT, Gems, which Google first announced at Google I/O in May, allows users to create modular, custom artificial intelligence assistants based on Gemini models that can be used for a variety of projects, from coding to career advice. Google says Gems are available for Gemini Advanced, Business and Enterprise users.
