Russia will start experimenting with cross-border crypto payments next week to circumvent international sanctions. It is reported that the legislation was passed in late July and quickly signed into law by President Vladimir Putin, but it does not lift the existing ban on the use of cryptocurrencies as legal tender for regular payments within Russia, instead allowing the use of cryptocurrencies for cross-border transfers.
