Ripple will launch a new token standard "MPT" on XRP Ledger this month, designed to enhance its support for real-world assets (RWA). Jasmine Cooper, head of DeFi products at Ripple, explained that MPT is specifically designed for RWA to store metadata directly alongside assets. This integration enhances the scalability and flexibility of XRPL, making it more suitable for institutional use cases and lowering the barrier to entry for these organizations.
