Robinhood allows Britons to borrow shares for extra income
Online brokerage platform Robinhood on Wednesday launched a stock lending scheme in the UK that allows UK consumers to earn passive income from their holdings of shares, in the company's latest move to expand its market share overseas. The stock trading app, which launched in the UK in November after two previous attempts to enter the UK market, said its new feature will allow UK retail investors to lend any shares held in their portfolios directly to interested borrowers.
