President's son Hunter Biden pleads guilty to nine tax charges
Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, pleaded guilty to nine counts in his federal tax case on September 5 local time. Previously, Hunter Biden was charged in December with nine counts of federal tax, including failure to file and pay taxes, tax evasion, and filing false or fraudulent tax returns. Three felonies and six misdemeanors were among the nine counts. The indictment alleges that Hunter Biden failed to pay at least $1.40 million in federal taxes over a four-year period from 2016 to 2019 and evaded tax assessment for the 2018 tax year by filing false returns around February 2020.
