Revelo Intel CEO resigns after being robbed of personal and company funds at gunpoint
Nick Drakon, former chief executive of Revelo Intel, a cryptocurrency research and education platform, posted on social media on September 5 that he had recently been robbed at gunpoint by a "highly professional" gang, forced to transfer personal, corporate and investor funds, and later announced his resignation. Drakon said the robbers were particularly interested in crypto assets and knew the deposit address of the crypto business he ran, and took away his personal funds, Revelo's Working Funds, retained earnings and funds from the company's investment arm, Revelo Ventures.
He suspected that people inside Revelo Ventures might have been involved, but did not disclose further details due to security concerns. To make up for the loss, Drakon has given up its interest in Revelo, and 30% of the company's profits will be used to compensate affected members. Former chief operating officer Vu Benson will take over as Revelo Intel's new CEO.
