Pantera, ParaFi, and other crypto funds have purchased Metaplex tokens from FTX's bankrupt assets
According to sources familiar with the matter, several crypto funds including Pantera Capital, ParaFi Capital and others have recently purchased a large number of Metaplex (MPLX) tokens from Wave Digital Assets, which were originally held by FTX Assets, as confirmed by the relevant funds. Citing the bankruptcy filing, the source said that FTX Assets initially held 72.60 million MPLX tokens. Citing on-chain data, the source added that 62.60 million of them were sold privately within the last five months. In addition, 2.50 million tokens were transferred from FTX wallets last month, leaving only 7.50 million tokens for sale. All tokens are expected to be unlocked on September 19.
