Stacks launches Asia Foundation with initial $15 million grant
According to official news, Stacks established the Asia Foundation yesterday. The foundation will receive an initial grant of $15 million. The Stacks Asia Foundation is committed to building mutually beneficial relationships in key markets such as Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South East Asia, UAE, etc. The focus will include supporting strategic partnerships and programs of local builders, efforts to ensure liquidity and accessibility of key ecosystem assets. By supporting key Stacks ecosystem teams to drive TVL, regional visibility and user growth in the Stacks layer. This move will lay a solid foundation for the mass adoption of Bitcoin Layer2.
It is reported that Stacks is about to hard fork at block height 861500 to activate the Nakamoto upgrade. The upgrade is expected to increase transaction speed from the current 10-30 minutes to 5-10 seconds.
