Eight Democratic lawmakers held a private roundtable with crypto industry executives to discuss bitcoin-related issues
According to Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett, on Wednesday afternoon, crypto industry group the Digital Chamber and the office of U.S. Congressman Wiley Nickel hosted a private policy-focused roundtable dedicated to bitcoin.
The conference is for House Democrats interested in learning more about the largest digital currency and how it could be legislated. In attendance: eight Democratic House members (names not disclosed) and executives from Riot Platforms, Baker McKenzie, Auradine, TeraWulf, Sustainable BTC and CleanSpark.
It is reported that the topics discussed included the use of BTC for financial inclusion, mining and energy sustainability, and competition with China. The meeting was productive, with members asking good questions, actively participating and eager to learn.
