Superfast founder deploys Solana verification node in Johannesburg
Superfast founder Martin Tromp has launched Solana validator nodes at the Teraco data center in Johannesburg. Solana is a fast and scalable blockchain platform competing with Ethereum. As a proof-of-stake (PoS) system, validator nodes play a key role in cyber security and transaction verification.
Tromp initially deployed the node in Cape Town, but moved to Johannesburg due to network latency issues caused by a broken submarine cable. Despite the distance from the coast, performance has been improved at the new location thanks to hardware upgrades.
