In a post on Sept. 15, a Reddit user who goes by the name "SentuBill" said the ChatGPT Large Language Model (LLM) started a conversation by asking him how his first day of school was. Based on user-provided conversations, ChatGPT was able to infer from a user's previous conversations with the program that this was the user's first day of school. The large language model also suggests that these features are part of a new upgrade. The official ChatGPT conversation record confirmed that the content of the conversation posted by this user is true. On September 13, 2024, OpenAI released a preview upgrade of its much-anticipated smarter models to some users. OpenAI says these new models will have inference capabilities and give ChatGPT the seemingly magical ability to "think before you answer". The response time of the new model will be between 10-20 seconds, and it will be able to search the internet and conduct in-depth research independently.
