On June 14, according to FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, Securities Exchange Commission Commissioner Mark Uyeda touted the benefits of tokenization in his speech at the Global Conference of Securities Regulators, saying: "Tokenization can provide a higher level of security, transparency and immutability for transactions, and it can also eliminate the need for most intermediaries, thereby simplifying the process and reducing transaction costs."
