Gemini Trust Co. Founder Brother Costs Biggest Individual Crypto Donor This Election Cycle
According to Federal Election Commission data compiled by crypto markets and blockchain analyst James Delmore and independently verified by CNBC, Gemini Trust Co. founders Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss were the largest individual crypto donors this election cycle, giving a combined $10.10 million, with each giving just over $5 million.
Among them, the Winklevoss brothers donated a total of about $1.70 million in bitcoin to the Trump 47 Committee, which raised money for former Republican President Donald Trump, more than $700,000 to the pro-Trump "Make America Great Again" PAC, $250,000 each to the pro-Trump American PAC, and $4.90 million to the bipartisan pro-cryptocurrency PAC.
