"We believe this is illegal and we will continue to maintain that position," he said. Last week, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission lost a case against Mr. Kalshi's election contract, with a federal judge in the District of Columbia court ruling that the CFTC exceeded its authority by barring him from the US political prediction market.
