Pager explosions in Lebanon have left 9 dead and 2,750 injured
On September 18th, according to the latest news released by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, 11 people have been killed and about 4,000 people have been injured in pager explosions across Lebanon on the afternoon of September 17 local time, of which about 400 are in critical condition. According to the official Iranian news agency, Iran's ambassador to Lebanon Mujtaba Amani was slightly injured in the pager explosion. According to Lebanese media reports, the battery of the pager used by the injured Lebanese Hezbollah members was detonated remotely. According to Reuters, multiple security sources said that the pager that was detonated was the latest model introduced by Hezbollah in Lebanon in recent months.
