SIX, the Swiss stock exchange, is exploring the establishment of a cryptocurrency trading platform in Europe and considering leveraging its reputation and Switzerland's advanced crypto laws to attract large traditional investors with increased interest in trading digital assets. "Cryptocurrencies have increasingly become a recognised asset class," said Bjørn Sibbern, head of global exchanges at SIX Group, adding that the company was looking at creating "a platform that allows us to help facilitate trading, whether it's [spot] cryptocurrencies or derivatives".
