Snowden: US regulators had wanted Telegram servers to shut down some channels

On September 18, Edward Snowden, the "Prism Gate" revelator, gave a speech on the Token2049 video link. He said: The last time I came to Singapore was in 2009. After 15 years, many things have changed, but the [US] government spies on everyone everywhere. This thing has not changed at all. Once upon a time, regulators wanted Telegram to shut down some channels from its servers, and they knew Telegram had the ability to do so. The (US) government just wanted to keep Facebook. It doesn't really matter that they control Telegram. What's more important is that by knowing everyone's identity, they are familiar with everyone's "social habits", and they try to control and shape everyone, so that some people they think are dangerous or incorrect cannot be voiced. Most people don't take this seriously and feel distant from them, but in fact, every electronic device you have is being monitored. Ordinary people talk about cryptocurrency, bitcoin, and privacy, making Wall Street and millionaires uncomfortable. I don't care how those in power feel.
