Tether has worked with 180 institutions in 45 jurisdictions to freeze approximately 1,850 wallets for illegal activities
Tether published data on its official website revealing that Tether's reserves are mainly composed of US Treasury bonds, holding more than 97.60 billion US dollars - if Tether is considered a country, Tether's treasury holdings rank 18th in the world, higher than Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Australia.
Since its inception, Tether has worked with 180 institutions in 45 jurisdictions to freeze around 1,850 wallets involved in illicit activities and recover over $113.80 million in assets. Most recently, Tether took decisive action against the notorious North Korean hacking group Lazarus Group, freezing and blacklisting it.
