Indian Supreme Court YouTube channel hijacked to promote XRP

On September 20, the official YouTube channel of the Supreme Court of India, which has more than 217,000 followers, was renamed a Ripple-themed account to carry out a cryptocurrency scam. Hackers used the channel to broadcast a live video of a fake Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse. The channel also encouraged potential victims to invest in the scam and promised unrealistic returns. In addition, the hackers renamed the channel, changed the URL and deleted all the videos previously uploaded by the original owner of the account. However, YouTube later had to remove the compromised channel on the grounds that "the channel was removed because it violated our Community Guidelines."
