JP Morgan CEO: Skeptical of a soft landing for the U.S. economy after interest rate cuts
Dimon, chief executive of JPMorgan Chase, said he remained sceptical of a soft landing for the economy after the Federal Reserve cut interest rates for the first time in more than four years. "I'm more sceptical than others, I think a soft landing is less likely, and I certainly hope it actually happens, but I'm more sceptical that inflation will go away so easily, not because it hasn't gone down, but because it can go down even more", he told an Atlantic Festival event in Washington on Friday.
