The three major U.S. stock indexes rose for two consecutive weeks
The three major U.S. stock indexes closed up and down, all recording two consecutive weekly gains. The Dow rose 0.09%, setting a new high and rising 1.61% this week; the S & P 500 fell 0.19%, rising 1.36% this week; the Nasdaq fell 0.36%, rising 1.49% this week. Large technology stocks were mixed, Tesla fell more than 2%, Nvidia fell more than 1%, Apple, Netflix, Microsoft fell slightly; Intel rose more than 3%, Google, Amazon, Meta rose slightly. FedEx fell more than 15%, its biggest one-day decline in two years.
