The Harris campaign blasted Trump's comments on the Federal Reserve before his economic speech
The campaign of US vice-president Kamala Harris has sharply criticised Donald Trump's comments on the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates for the first time in four years and has focused on the economy ahead of November's presidential election.
Mr. Trump, the Republican nominee who has previously suggested that an independent central bank should be subject to some degree of executive control, made his comments within hours of the Fed's 50 basis point cut on September 19, calling it a "political move" and saying a 25 basis point cut was appropriate.
