Harris raised four times more donations than Trump in his final election sprint
Vice President Kamala Harris, who raised and spent far more money in August than former President Donald Trump, will have more cash at the end of the month to make the final push for the November election, according to the latest Federal Election Commission filings. The Harris campaign raised more than $189 million in August, more than four times the $44 million the Trump campaign raised. The figures reflect money raised specifically for the candidate's primary campaign account and do not include contributions to other arms of his political campaign.
The Harris campaign announced earlier this month that campaign contributions raised jointly with the Democratic National Committee and Ways and Means Committee totaled $361 million in August. That pales in comparison to the $130 million raised by the Trump campaign and its joint fundraising committee.
