The mayor of New York has been indicted following a federal corruption investigation

On September 25 local time, New York City Mayor Eric Adams was indicted following a federal corruption investigation, becoming the first mayor of New York to be criminally charged while in office. The indictment is still under seal, and it is not clear what charges Adams faces. Representatives for Adams and his campaign said they would not comment immediately. (Jin Ten)
