Opinion: Outflows from cryptocurrency purchases could affect Brazil's domestic exchange rate
Although cryptocurrency outflows in Brazil are still relatively low and can be offset by other inflows, economists and analysts predict that if these outflows continue to grow, it will affect the exchange rate within Brazil.
Others suggest that the growth is related to Brazilians embracing cryptocurrencies as a form of payment. Stablecoins may have played a large role in this, as they have become popular in Brazil with banks that use them for exchange at the request of their customers. Still, some argue that companies abroad may be experimenting with cryptocurrencies, given the high numbers reported.
