South Korea to Launch $14.50 million Blockchain Support Program for Public and Private Sectors
According to the Korean media "Financial News", the Ministry of Science and Information Communication Technology and the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) will jointly launch the 2024 blockchain support plan. The two agencies plan to invest 20 billion won (about 14.50 million dollars) to develop public blockchain services and promote the commercialization of blockchain company products. The public blockchain projects supported by the plan include digital coupons, digital badges and online voting systems related to the central bank digital currency (CBDC).
