The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has approved CattleProof's "Verified" as a blockchain-based Process Verification Project (PVP). The system records cattle information, including data and status of electronic identification tags, through a decentralized digital ledger. CattleProof also provides "U.S.-Born" certifications and digital certificates for individual cattle, a move that shows USDA's endorsement of blockchain technology in agriculture.
