ZK Nation: Collection of wallet addresses or lists during community meetings is not officially recognized by ZKsync
On June 17, ZK Nation responded to the crypto KOL@gaobili1020's disclosure on the X platform that "a ZKsyncmod member's rat warehouse has been banned": "Meetups are common community-building events to discuss the latest technological advancements in the protocol. Some third parties around the world have received funding to organize meetups for educational purposes. These events are one-off and not officially recognized or organized by ZKsync.
We would like to make it clear that the collection of wallet addresses or lists was never formally organized or endorsed during these meetings, nor was any promise or guarantee of future rewards made to any attendees. ZKsync always strictly avoids such practices to ensure fairness and integrity.
All eligible addresses are selected according to a strict set of predefined criteria, and details can be viewed through official documents. "
The process described by @gaobili1020 is as follows: At the beginning of a Shanghai conference hosted by the ZKsync Chinese community @CNzksync, there were many participants, and after the conference, there was a link to collect addresses in order to provide credentials for future airdrops.
The Chinese community mod Shui Duoduo was in charge of this at the time, and then he replaced some of the places for people who did not submit their addresses and participated in the meeting with their own wallets.
Then in the past few days, ZKsync airdropped, Shuiduo's original mouse warehouse was picked up by the user, and then the official went to verify, and after confirmation, all the mouse warehouses at the address that Shuiduo had kept were banned. After that, Shuiduo exposed the matter.
