Tether CEO declined to disclose the size of its investment in commodities trading and said it was carefully formulating its strategy

In an interview with Bloomberg, Paolo Ardoino, chief executive of stablecoin issuer Tether, confirmed the company's interest in commodity trade financing, but stressed that discussions are at an early stage and declined to say how much the company intends to invest in commodities trading, saying only that Tether is carefully formulating its strategy. "We are interested in exploring different commodity trading possibilities, the future potential is huge, but we may not disclose how much we intend to invest in commodities trading and are still formulating a strategy," Paolo Ardoino explained. It is reported that Tether plans to offer an alternative to traditional lending that can simplify payments and transactions and avoid the strict regulatory conditions of traditional Financial Institutions Groups.
