Ethereum L2 Starknet has published a roadmap for its move to a PoS mechanism. The current first phase of staking has already taken place on Starknet Sepolia. In this phase, the permissionless staking protocol and delegated staking mechanism are introduced. The validator is expected to run a full node in preparation for the next phase. In the second phase, the validator will start proving blocks, i.e. signing blocks when they are randomly current. In the third phase, the validator will validate and vote on blocks ordered by the sorter, and the consensus will send the proof to L1. In the fourth phase, the validator will be solely responsible for maintaining and securing the network by generating and proving blocks.
